Urge Your Legislators to Vote NO on Two Important Bills

Urge Your State Senator to Protect Confidential Information

A bill that would allow confidential and proprietary financial information from physician groups to be released to the public, reversing an agreement made last year when establishing California’s Office of Health Care Affordability, is being heard in the California legislature. AB 616 (Rodriguez) could harm the ability of physician practices to recruit physicians, health care providers, and employees effectively, and we need physician voices to encourage a “NO” vote from legislators.

This bill will be heard by the Senate Health Committee on July 5th so please take a moment and contact your State Senators TODAY to tell them to Oppose AB 616!

Tell Your State Assemblymember to Protect Medical Board Integrity

A bill that proposes alarming changes, including moving the Board to a public member majority and increasing the licensing fee, is being heard in the California legislature. SB 815 (Roth) would change the Medical Board of California as part of its Sunset Review Process, and we need physician voices to encourage a “NO” vote from legislators.

This bill will be heard on July 11th so please take a moment and contact your State Assemblymembers TODAY to tell them to Oppose SB 815!
