State Funding to Improve Birth Outcomes July 13, 2018 General Health, Public The Omnibus Health Trailer Bill (AB 1810) was signed into law on June 27 to revise various health care programs in order to implement the 2018�19 state budget. Among those revisions are the establishment of the California Perinatal Equity Initiative to provide funding to county health departments to improve their birth outcomes and an expansion of the Black Infant Health Program to prevent black infant mortality and preterm births.
