New Medical Board App for Patients August 6, 2018 General Board, Licensing, Medical The Medical Board of California (MBC) has released a free mobile app that notifies patients about changes to their physician's license status. Whereas patients previously had to actively seek out that information from MBC's website, the new app will alert users when their physician's license is updated or there are changes to the physician's address, practice status, specialty, disciplinary actions, and more. For now, the app is available only for Apple iOS devices. ACCMA encourages physicians to periodically check their profiles for accuracy and to advise the board of any corrections, especially their addresses of record.
