Free Webinar on CURES 2.0 Compliance July 6, 2018 General Regulatory, Requirements Effective October 2, physicians will be required to consult the CURES database, California's prescription drug monitoring program, before prescribing Schedule II, III, or IV controlled substances. Physicians must consult the database before prescribing controlled substances to a patient for the first time and at least once every four months thereafter.
