Free Webinar on CURES 2.0 Compliance

Effective October 2, physicians will be required to consult the CURES database, California's prescription drug monitoring program, before prescribing Schedule II, III, or IV controlled substances. Physicians must consult the database before prescribing controlled substances to a patient for the first time and at least once every four months thereafter. To learn more about the CURES database and physicians' duty-to-consult, the California Medical Association (CMA) and the California Department of Justice (DOJ) will host a free webinar on August 22. To register for the webinar, go to http://www.cmanet.org/events/detail/?event=cures-duty-to-consult.
