ACCMA Meets with Newly Appointed Supervisor Elisa Márquez August 24, 2023 Advocacy Your Newly Appointed Alameda County Supervisor Our members met with newly appointed Alameda County Supervisor, Elisa Márquez, on Monday, July 31st to discuss our ACCMA health care priorities and Supervisor Márquez’s priorities. Supervisor Márquez represents District 2, which encompasses the communities of Hayward, Union City, Newark, and portions of Fremont. Supervisor Márquez’s public service journey began in 2008 when she was appointed to the Hayward Planning Commission. Later, in 2014, Elisa was appointed to the Hayward City Council, where she successfully ran for election in 2016 and was the top vote-getter in her 2020 reelection. Elisa’s career has also been enriched by serving as a Probate Court Investigator for the California Superior Court for nearly 11 years. She is also an active volunteer, donor and supporter of hard-working causes and community organizations.
