2024 Elections – Open Seat Races & Candidate Interviews November 27, 2023 Advocacy The 2024 Election season has arrived with the California Presidential Primary Election being held on March 5, 2024. ACCMA and CALPAC will be closely watching the following races: Senate District (SD) 7 – SD 7 is currently held by Senator Steve Glazer who is terming out. ACCMA and CALPAC are currently meeting with candidates and will be scheduling candidate interviews in January. SD 9 – SD 9 is currently held by Senator Nancy Skinner who is terming out. ACCMA and CALPAC have had initial interviews with the candidates. ACCMA and CALPAC have met with the candidates and held introductory interviews. Assembly District (AD) 15 – AD 15 is currently held by Assemblymember Tim Grayson who is running for Senator Glazer’s SD 9 seat. ACCMA and CALPAC are currently meeting with candidates and will be scheduling candidate interviews in January. Additionally, we are also watching the following races where there will be open vacancies but not leading the interview process: SD 3 – SD 3 is currently held by Senator Bill Dodd. SD 3 elections will be held by the Napa Solano Medical Society. SD 5 – SD 5 is currently held by Susan Talamantes-Eggman. SD 5 elections will be held by the San Joaquin Medical Society.
